Local band Madame Claude
An exciting 2024 appears to be on the cards for local ska band Madame Claude.
Based in Saddleworth and Tameside, five-piece outfit Madame Claude are front-man Frank Williams, Mikey, a former circus performer, Henry Williamson playing rhythm guitar, drummer Gabriel Preston and bassist Charlie Lawless.
They mix elements of ska and rocksteady to form their own inimitable style, something noticed by legendary Selecter vocalist Pauline Black, who apparently said that the local lads were the 'best ska band she had heard in years'.
That's quite a compliment from quite a legend.
Madame Claude are coming off the back of the release of their debut EP, 'Holt Town Jig EP', which featured the popular singles 'Jelly Legs' and 'Part of Your Show'.
Now, however, the lads are gearing up for what promises to be a hectic and hopefully mega-successful 2024 on the live music circuit.
Madame Claude have a few upcoming supports with The Beat and Blood Orchid (on March 24 in Huddersfield), and are doing a headline showcase at the iconic Night and Day venue in Manchester on April 28.

Having previously provided support to 2-Tone legends The Selecter and with dates booked with other top Ska bands such as The Beat - in Holmfirth on March 1 - and Bad Manners, don't miss the opportunity to catch Madame Claude whenever you can.
Madame Claude look set to be a band to keep an eye on this year.
