There's some amazing gigs coming up over the next few months at the famous Whittle's at Tokyo venue in Oldham
There's a cracking line-up of gigs to look forward to over the next few months at the iconic Whittle's at Tokyo live music venue in Oldham town centre.
Bon Giovi kick things off this Saturday night (February 4).
Billed as the world’s premier look-alike and sound alike tribute to the New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi, Bon Giovi are sure to put on a triumphant show at the Roscoe Street haunt.
Similarly, Rushed are a three piece authentic tribute act performing the music of Canada’s finest progressive Rock trio, and they head to Oldham the Saturday after, February 11.
On Saturday, February 18, Pop Rock party band Boomin are on at Whittle's.
This band take ordinary songs, Boomin mix them, mash them and create something wonderfully unique.
Locally-based outfit the Velocetas will take to the Whittle's stage on Friday, February 24, playing pop punk, new wave and Britpop classics.
On Saturday, February 25, there's the ultimate rock night with two fantastic tribute bands, Sabbotage and Twisted System.
March also promises plenty, with Nu Rocks and Metal Militia both booked in, while on March 18, there's Pink by Vicky Jackson.
They are a thoroughly professional five-piece live Pink tribute show.
The Explosive Light Orchestra and Bowie tribute AladdinSane head to Whittle's in April, but sndwiched in between those two is arguably the jewel in the crown for Oldham venue this Spring.
On Friday, April 21, legendary pair Joel Hoekstra (Whitesnake) and Brandon Gibbs (Devil City Angels) play at Whittle's as part of their eagerly-anticipated 2023 acoustic tour.
Iowa-born Hoekstra, as well as featuring in Whitesnake since 2014, also tours as a guitarist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
The son of classical musicians, he started out playing cello and piano at a young age, but it was hearing Angus Young of AC/DC that inspired him to start playing the guitar.
Gibbs is not only the front man for the super group Devil City Angels, but also joined Poison in 2022 on the Def Leppard/Motley Crue stadium tour, utilising his searing voice on backup vocals.
He is also known for his blues/rock style of guitar playing and his riveting songwriting.
Advance tickets for that special show in Oldham cost just £22.
