Jack Griffin
Little life saver Jack Griffin (3) knew just what to do when his mum Natalie suffered an epileptic seizure at their Fitton Hill home.
The quick-thinking youngster, who was just three-years-old at the time, pressed the family’s emergency response button, used his mum’s phone to call his grandmother Christine, put a cushion under his mum’s head to stop her from choking and waited calmly for help to arrive.
Jack also made sure his baby sister Evie, who was six months old, was safe and kept calm.
Helen Haigh
Inspirational nurse Helen Haigh (right) raised an amazing £13,000 for the unit that treated her after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
Helen, from Moorside, helped smash her initial target of £500 with the help of close friend Helen Pedroza.
The money went to the Link4Pink charity, which supports the Victoria Breast Care Unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital and is where Helen herself was treated.
Chris Molden
Real life guardian angel Chris Molden turned life saver when his first aid skills were called on to help seriously injured James Childs.
Chris, who volunteers with Oldham Street Angels, sprang into action administering lifesaving CPR to James, who had been knocked down in Oldham town centre and left not breathing and with a broken leg.
Those quick thinking actions helped James start to breathe again and earned Chris a truly deserved nomination.
