A HEROIC little boy who saved his mum’s life twice has been nominated for a Pride in Oldham award.

Quick-thinking Jack Griffin (3) jumped into action when his mum Natalie suffered an epileptic seizure and fell to the floor at their home in Fitton Hill earlier this year.

He pressed the family’s emergency response button but after getting no answer grabbed his mum’s phone and dialled the most recent number - which luckily was his grandmother, Christine.

He put a cushion under his mum’s head and a cloth to stop the bleeding - as Natalie (26) had bitten her tongue in the fall. Then he waited for help to arrive 10 minutes later.

Jack also made sure his younger sister, Evie (six months) was safe and kept her calm. His story featured on the front page of the Evening Chronicle.

Proud mum Natalie said: “We are so shocked that he has been nominated for an award. He’s an amazing little boy and he deserves to get recognition for what he did saving my life. All the family are very proud of him.”

Jack rescued his mum again a month later, during another fit.

Natalie said: “He can’t even say the word epilepsy, but he knows how important it is to get help.”
