A MEDICAL practice in Shaw whose exceptional professionalism and outstanding care give patients peace of mind has been nominated for a Pride in Oldham award.
The whole team at The Oak Gables Partnership, from receptionists to doctors and nurses, have been praised for their dedication to patients, helpful and friendly manner, and willingness to go the extra mile.
Patient Sharon Griffin, who has rheumatoid arthritis, who is visually impaired and uses a wheelchair, joined the practice two years ago when she moved from Chadderton into an adapted bungalow in Shaw.
She said: "They are a five star service who really strive to help you, and they have made my life so much easier.
"Over the years, I have dealt with many people in the healthcare setting and, without exception, I have never encountered such a helpful and accommodating team.
"When you ring for an appointment, they can always find you one, they do home visits, and they even fit in around my husband's shift work as a nurse.
"I can access care when I need it which gives my husband and I complete re-assurance and peace of mind. The whole team really deserves a Pride in Oldham nomination."
Debra Reynolds, who manages the practice based at Crompton Health Centre, said the team were 'delighted' to be nominated.
She said: "The whole of the practice team at Oak Gables are honoured to have been nominated for this award.
"It is always extra rewarding when the high standards that the practice team aims to deliver are acknowledged by patients and their families."
