2015 Pride in Oldham presentation Evening at The Q.E. Hall
IT'S that time of year again when we celebrate the achievements of the borough's unsung heroes who go the extra mile to show they have Pride in Oldham.
The Chronicle's awards ceremony - held on Friday at the Queen Elizabeth Hall - is now in its 15th year and each time it throws up some heart-warming tales of those who overcome adversity or those who up step up to the plate to help others.
This year is no exception and we highlight the finalists in each of the categories from the dozens of individuals and groups nominated by you, the readers of the Chronicle. The shortlist was drawn up by our panel of judges.
The finalists, together with their families and friends, will join invited guests and members of the public at Friday's glittering awards ceremony, courtesy of our generous sponsors.
The winners will be unveiled in eight categories: Professional, Education, Health, Voluntary, Schools, Business, Groups and Special Achievement - all decided by the judges - while the Readers' Choice award is determined exclusively by public vote.
There will also be two other awards handed out: "Love Where You Live Award", "Freeman Meacher Ambassador Award."
You can find out who won what in our Pride in Oldham special in next Monday's Chronicle.
