STAFF at a pharmacy have been nominated for a Pride in Oldham award for their service to patients.
Your Doctors Chemist at Broadway Business Park in Chadderton has been recommended for the accolade by Chronicle reader and pharmacy customer Patricia Buckley.
Mrs Buckley (70), of Chadderton, needs prescriptions for a number of health conditions and said: "The staff at Your Doctors Chemist are excellent.
"I've been using them for about 12 months and I'm really pleased with them.
"They're great at getting my prescriptions delivered to me on the same day. If there is a change in my medication, it's no problem for them.
"They really go above-and-beyond their duty to help.
"The pharmacist who I speak to is a very pleasant man and all the staff are great including the delivery men.
"Some of my neighbours have started using them too and they are all really pleased with the first-class service."
Pharmacy manager Ahmed Salim, who has previously run a number of high street chemists, works with Saiqa Kausar, Darren Mark and Tyler Hurst.
He said: "For us to be nominated for a Pride in Oldham award is fantastic. We're grateful to Mrs Buckley for recommending us and appreciating our service.
"This is a relatively new business and most of our contact with customers is done through telephone calls and emails. We don't see many of them face-to-face but we build up a good rapport with them and try to do whatever we can to help.
"If they are unwell or elderly, we will try to get their medication delivered to them as soon as possible. We work with a number of local GPs and have a good partnership with them and their patients."
