Woodhouses Primary School will soon be 50 years old
Woodhouses Primary school turns 50 next month - and you're invited to the party!
On September 28, Woodhouses Primary will celebrate its 50th birthday with a host of esteemed guests at an afternoon tea party.
Invitees include Reverend Grant and the Bishop as well as local education dignitaries.
Shadow Secretary of State for Education Angela Rayner has also been invited, along with the mayors of Oldham, Manchester and Greater Manchester.
Past staff and pupils are also expected to attend, including Manchester United women's team midfielder Katie Zelem.
Woodhouses Primary is a voluntary controlled school, meaning that it is maintained by the local authority but has Foundation Governors from both the Anglican and Free Churches.
It accepts around 20 four to 11-year-olds every year, and was named Good with Outstanding features in its latest OFSTED report.
Its birthday tea party will take place between 1:30 and 3pm and is the perfect chance to remenisce and meet the prestigious guests.
