The School and College graduation season is well under way in and around Oldham, and the Chronicle was invited to the Year Seven showpiece at Hathershaw College.
Introduced by Oldham Pledge Co-Ordinator and Assistant Principal Lorna Philip, the afternoon event took place in the school hall, with the hundreds of Year Seven pupils dressed in caps and gowns as local council and school dignitaries watched on.
Featuring on a huge video screening, the enthusiastic children had the chance to talk briefly about the work surrounding their Pledge Passports, before Pledge Co-Ordinator Suzy Ashworth offered more motivational words on behalf of the staff.
The graduation, class individual and outstanding achievement awards were then presented to pupils following a year of hard work on academic, sporting, performing and technology fronts.
