Memories of Latics versus Oldham Rugby

Latics are now a non-league team
Editor,
I was really astounded to learn that Latics had been removed from the English Football League.
As a kid I used to go to Boundary Park with my Dad and one of my Uncles to watch them play home games on a Saturday afternoon.
I also remember Latics and Oldham Rugby playing against each other in pre-season charity games - first half football, second half rugby.
For many years they were the Pride of Oldham and had a great following of supporters.
I hope that the future of OAFC will be a brighter one and that they will once again be members of the English Football League.
