Date published: 12 October 2023

The film will be screened at 7pm in the performance space of Oldham Library in partnership with the Alliance Française
The Little French Cinema in Oldham has been forced into change of its next screening on Thursday, November 2.
Because of difficulties obtaining the correct license, LFC have had to change its screening at late notice from Le Boucher - The Butcher (Claude Chabrol) to Que la Bête Meure - This Man Must Die (1969, also directed by Claude Chabrol).
The film will be screened at 7pm in the performance space of Oldham Library in partnership with the Alliance Française.
When his young son is killed in a hit and run accident, Charles Thenier resolves to hunt down and murder the killer.
By chance, Thenier makes the acquaintance of an actress, Helène Lanson, who was in the car at the time of the accident.
He then meets Helène’s brother-in-law, Paul Decourt, a truly horrible individual.
The film stars Michel Duchaussoy, Caroline Cellier and Jean Yanne.
Running time: 1 hr 53 mins
Certificate: AA
No adverts and no trailers
Alliance Française members wishing to take advantage of the two tickets for the price of one offer should purchase one ticket through Eventbrite and phone 07742 982632 to reserve the free ticket.
A limited number of tickets will also be available on the door - £5 cash only.
As LFC have had to change the film at short notice, refunds will be given in full to any ticketholder no longer wishing to attend.
