Councillor Eddie Moores from Chadderton Central Ward was the guest on the most recent Centre of Wellbeing, Training and Culture (CWTC) Community Podcast.
The purpose of the podcast is to connect and support our diverse communities through information and advice.
The project is supported by Action Together.
Councillors have several duties and responsibilities from policy making, carrying out a number of strategies, functions, they are involved in decision making and identify needs of the community for their Wards and for the Borough as a whole.
This was an opportunity to discuss with Councillor Moores his day-to-day work and representations on various committees.
He and host Mohammed Sarwar discussed Children’s Social Care, Safeguarding, Early Years, Wellbeing, Consultation with residents, and more.
Councillor Moores agreed that mental health is a massive issue and the Council and partners are working very hard to deliver the best services for our community, particularly to our children and young people.
When Mr Sarwar (CEO at CWTC) asked about the services and facilities at CWTC, Councillor Moores said: “It's a great set-up here.
"It's the first time I have visited CWTC and really amazed by what I can see here.
"It's great to see how you are working with the diverse community."
