Junior fundraiser, Noah Price will be cycling his way to Christmas Day... without leaving his family garage.

Noah, an 11-year-old pupil at Saddleworth School, plans to complete his own 100-mile fundraising road for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice on a Christmas Eve.

After helping the team last year on the Dr Kershaw’s Saddleworth Santa Dash stall, Noah saw his chance to give some seasonal help for the Furnish with Love appeal, putting pedal power to work, raising £700 towards his target just one week.

Said Noah: “The doctors and nurses looked after my Aunt Rachel so I decided I wanted to do something special that would help patients and families.

“I’m doing this cycle to help pay for the furniture needed for the new ward’s patient lounge. When I’m with my mum and dad on Christmas Day, I’ll know that I’ve helped to give other people special family time together”

Said Noah’s father, David: “Noah's target was £500 and he has achieved that. He is half way through his 100 miles, and plans to do seven miles a day, leaving a couple of miles to do on Christmas Eve. He does he riding in the evening around 7pm.

Not really changed his diet. He either listens to music or watches Netflix. But the Spin Bik’s saddle is like a razor blade so we have had to buy Noah some padded cycling shorts to mitigate being saddle sore.”
