Oldham-based Ascroft Medical have been busy, not only supporting students and graduates locally and internationally, but have also when answering a plea for support from singer song-writer, MaryHD, a celebrity representative of a charity called ‘Friend of Mulanje Orphans‘ (FOMO).
The heroes of oral hygiene were only too pleased to support the Preston-based charity with some medical supplies.
The mission of FOMO is to provide and enhance the health, education, food security, and meet the basic human needs of all orphaned children of Mulanje a town in the southern region of Malawi.
At present vital medical supplies are needed.
Co-director of Ascroft Medical, Krzysztof Zemlik, said: “We were delighted to help.
"Our clinicians and staff alike work so hard to provide the best possible patient care and patient experience for all our patients especially during these challenging times, it does not preclude us from answering a plea for help from children suffering in another country.”
MaryHD said: “As celebrity representative of Friends of Mulanje Orphans, it brings great joy to see such kindness from all at Ascroft Medical.
"Furthermore, the more kind people, such as those at Ascroft Medical, that come together will make the world a better place.
"They are a shining example of sharing supplies to those that need them the most.
"It is my hope that even more individuals and businesses step forward to follow their example.
"I invite people to please visit FOMO.co.uk to find out more about how you can assist the incredible work that FOMO does to help those in Malawi.”
