Have a wander around the park checking out the magnificent motors
The sublime, racy and seriously eye-catching are rolling back into Uppermill next month.
The American Auto Club NW is returning for its 12th charity car show in the King George V Park on Sunday, August 4.
The event is supported by Saddleworth Round Table who, in keeping with recent tradition, will host a beer tent serving real ale supplied by Donkeystone Brewery and a selection of soft drinks.
Organisers say the event is going from strength to strength with the best classic and some modern American motors and trucks on display from 10am until 5pm.
All cars pay a small donation to exhibit, while the event is free to enter for the public.
Last year the event raised £600 donated to Oldham Mountain Rescue Team and this year the car club and Saddleworth Round Table intend sharing the money between Mountain Rescue and one other local worthy cause still up for grabs.
Andy Rothwell, this year’s Saddleworth Round Table Chairman, said: “The car show falls a week before the ‘Yanks are Back in Saddleworth’ weekend.
“And what better way to get into the spirit of Yanks by having a wander around the park checking out the magnificent American motors on show?
"It should prove to be a great day out for young and old alike.”
