Dr Kershaw's Hope The Bear and Springhill's Springy The Frog
The annual Hospice-to-Hospice fundraising walk returns for it's 13th year on April 28th. The 7.25-mile circular route takes in both Dr Kershaw’s and Springhill Hospice in Rochdale.
The walk will begin from Heyside Cricket Club this year, though the rest of the route will stay the same with a halfway stop at Springhill Hospice and sandwiches and drinks back at the start.
The event - which was established in 2006 - sees hundreds of sponsored participants walking between the two hospices. Many walk year-on-year in memory of a loved one, and fancy dress is encouraged.
Last year over 500 walkers took part, including a number of dogs. Dr Kershaw's have introduced a special "doggie pack" for £5 which includes drawstring bag, canine water bottle, poop bag dispenser with bags and sponsor form.
Pre-registration costs £7 per person.
