Photographer of the Year Stephen Riley with Camera Club vice-chair Ian Greenhalgh
Oldham Camera Club staged its annual presentation evening at the Neon Centre.
The club have a number of different competitions running at various times in the year.
There is a marathon competition which runs all year and encompasses colour and black and white printed images and digitally projected images with an 'open' section, and each quarter of the year there's a 'themed' section.
The themed section is new this year and was designed to make photographers work outside their comfort zone.
The last theme in particular got everyone's creative juices flowing as it was entitled 'Abstract' and had some really interesting and diverse images.
The winners were:
Colour print - Stephen Riley
Black and white print - Alan Andrew and Andrew Kay jointly
Open digital - Stephen Riley and Steven Birds jointly
Themed digital - Barry Armstrong
The overall Photographer of the Year - Stephen Riley
An award is also made to the photographer who in the opinion of the competition secretary, Vice Chairman and Chairman, has shown the most improvement in the year.
This was presented to Mary Kay.
