Oldham Mazda has turned its showroom on Rochdale Road, St Mary's Way into a winter wonderland over the Christmas period.
The festive initiative will collect packaged food and raise donations for Oldham Foodbank, which provides emergency food and support to local people in crisis.
From now until December 21, Oldham Mazda’s showroom will be a drop-off point for food donations to Oldham Foodbank.
The foodbank is in urgent need of food items over Christmas including tinned fruit, tea bags, dried pasta, UHT milk, rice, tinned vegetables, pasta sauce and sugar.
All other unopened and in-date food items are also welcomed.
David Syddall, Oldham Mazda Brand Manager, said: “I’m extremely proud that the team here at Oldham Mazda are helping to spread the joy of Christmas to those who really need it most.
"The foodbank plays such an important role in helping local people and families in need, making sure that no person in a crisis goes hungry.
"We urge everyone to bring gifts and donations to our festive showroom to help us fill our Mazda sleigh and show as much support as possible for this wonderful charity over the Christmas period.”
Oldham Foodbank is a collaboration of local churches and community groups working together towards stopping hunger in the local area.
The foodbank provides three days worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis.
Oldham Foodbank are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
