Choral Society Christmas celebration promises so much

Oldham Choral Society will join forces with the Ashton Band on December 21
For many people, music and Christmas are almost inseparable.
The sound of carols being sung in the open air, and the magic of listening to a choir, can be enjoyed on Friday evening, December 21, as Oldham Choral Society join forces with the Ashton Band - a Championship tier band with conductor Philip Chalk - in their eagerly-anticipated Christmas celebration at Oldham Parish Church.
Starting at 7.30pm, the evening offers a feast of Christmas music from the choir and the band – both prominent in the musical world of Oldham and much further afield – plus the opportunity to become a chorister yourself as you join them in the much-loved carols and songs of Christmas.
What a splendid way to start the Christmas weekend this promises to be.
Tickets can be obtained in advance by contacting any choir member, or you can simply squeeze in on the night.
And, of course, there are the seasonal refreshments to enjoy afterwards.
