A busy scene at Feedmanchester's anniversary event
As the dark wintery nights start to get colder, volunteers continue to try their best to help the homeless.
Oldham’s own Sohaib Bhatti is joined by fellow volunteers Michelle Dunleavy, from Stretford, and Josie Heavy, from Salford, to help with the city-based charity, Feedmanchester.
Feedmanchester staged a special three-year anniversary event last week, and it proved a huge success.
More than 60 sleeping bags, blankets, essential care packs and tonnes of food were given out.
The team have since been out again in Manchester, giving leaflets to rough sleepers to inform them of another upcoming event they are holding.
Feedmanchester are planning to do a Christmas handout on December 21.
The preparation is looking positive as they have received donations already as several track suits and sleeping bags have arrived.
Also, the group have arranged hot food to be served.
Feedmanchester is a non-profitable charity whose main aim is to help the homeless, with providing them with clothing, sleeping bags and giving them hot meals and snacks.
The charity has been keen to give back to people less fortunate than themselves, by raising awareness and taking action to reduce poverty and improving life stories.
All supplies are purchased and prepared by the volunteers involved.
The team is driven forward by Sohaib, Josie and Michelle.
Sohaib has been a member of the group almost from day one and is still as passionate now as he was at the beginning.
