Multi-national local business Ultimate Products have partnered with Oldham College to offer a life-changing opportunity to local students via the Ultimate Products Academy.
Students who bag themselves an Academy place will experience what it is like to work at the cutting edge of an international company with professionals who are at the top of their game in industry.
The experience will develop students’ professional and technical skills in the area of expertise that complement the course they are studying.
Students who make it through the Academy will be rewarded by securing a full-time paid position within the company.
Ultimate Products are an established company in the business of sourcing, branding and distributing some of the markets’ leading products on the shelves.
For more than two decades, Ultimate Products have provided well-known retailers with the latest progressive and innovative products, and they continue to grow every day.
Ultimate Products are one of Oldham’s key employers, with an international presence and offices across the UK and around the globe.
An exclusive Academy launch evening was hosted at Ultimate Products’ Oldham head office, and event which doubled up as an essential part of the student selection process.
Full details of the course, and the environment in which the successful students would go on to be a part of, were provided at what proved to be a hugely popular launch evening.
Ultimate Products Managing Director Andy Gossage said: “The company is absolutely delighted to provide another opportunity for local talented students to join our business.
“It’s a chance for them to build a career in a full time role.
“The Academy will help ensure the students are ready and will gain the necessary support they will need to help them succeed.”
UP's Group HR and Operations Director Craig Holden added: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Oldham College on this exciting initiative, which is all about providing career opportunities for Oldham’s talented college leavers within our dynamic, successful and international business.
"College leavers are increasingly opting not to go down the university route, and we are delighted to be tapping into a new pool of local talent whilst also providing the successful applicants with the necessary support, guidance and training that they will need to thrive in a successful business like Ultimate Products.
"We look forward very much to welcoming the first intake of students to Ultimate Products in November, and sincerely hope that this will be the start of a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Oldham College.”
