Small local businesses and talented individuals have been hand-picked for ithe Lyceum's second fund-raising Christmas Craft Fair
Lyceum Theatre Oldham, in the heart of the town, is hosting a Craft Fair on Saturday, December 8 (12 noon-4pm) following the success of last year’s event.
The popular local amateur theatre has a history of raising funds through its performances and sharing its profits with local and national charities, as well as putting profits towards refurbishing its front of house areas in the basement venue on Union Street, Oldham.
Small local businesses and talented individuals have been hand-picked for its second fund-raising Christmas Craft Fair to give customers a chance to buy locally-made and sourced gifts, sweet treats and Christmas decorations, providing inspiration for unique presents and treats.
Stalls will include cakes, wax melts, Christmas wreaths, bath bombs and much more.
Oldham Music Centre’s Chamber Orchestra, based in the same building, will be playing at 12 noon and a choir will perform at 1pm.
And of course, Santa will be in his grotto all day granting wishes and taking note of Christmas lists.
The bar will be open serving mulled wine, mince pies, coffee and tea, a quiet haven to sit and relax after your shopping!
And there will be a mega-raffle to win prizes donated by the stalls and tickets to Lyceum productions.
There’ll also be an opportunity to have a look round the theatre and to meet many of the volunteers who keep the theatre running.
