The Manchester Rainy City Cruisers have found a new home – in Hollinwood!
Established since 1974, the Rainy City Cruisers are a group of custom car and hot rod enthusiasts, all with a connection to Manchester.
They have now chosen a home in Oldham, at the increasingly popular Old School BBQ Ranch in Hollinwood, and they have just enjoyed a packed-out first official meeting at their spacious new base.
The Old School BBQ Ranch is a new, yet already highly acclaimed venture in the town.
It’s a result of the hard work and commitment of master craftsman of all things food, Mark Fairley, and his team.
The centrepiece of what could only be compared to a barn dance setting is a big yellow school bus converted into a full-blown catering facility.
On show at the Rainy City Cruisers’ inaugural Hollinwood meeting was an eclectic mix of machines from across the area, including Murph’s Mustang, Colin Wood’s Old School C Cab, Keith Freeman’s yellow Deuce Coupe, Colin Bennett’s Orange Squash, Dave Cassidy’s V8 Milk Float, a brilliantly refurbished Chevy 3100, and of course numerous high-powered, pristinely preserved motorbikes.
Check out the Rainy City Cruisers’ dedicated Facebook page for more details of future meet-ups and events.
