Olivia Rose Hamilton and Brody Hibbert show off their silverware
Olivia Rose Hamilton snubbed the chance to have a birthday party recently in order to train hard ahead of her trip to the European Street Dance Championship finals in Kalkar, Germany.
And it was a decision which certainly paid off as Olivia won the advanced under-10 solo and duos category.
Olivia Rose lives in Oldham and attends Fierce Dance in Heyside.
She spent six months training and qualifying for the European Finals, and competitors from 24 countries were involved.
Olivia Rose's birthday was on May 13 and instead of having a party she decided she would rather go and compete for a chance to win the European title.
She later said winning the title was 'the best birthday present ever' and she is already looking forward to competign at the World Championships in August.
Olivia Rose's dance partner and Fierce Dance club-mate Brody Hibbert also attended the European finals and finished in second place in the same category.
After winning first and second place in the solo's category, Olivia and Brody then went on to secure first place in the Advanced under-10s duo final.
That made Olivia Rose a double European champion and Fierce Dance the proudest dance school in Oldham.
Now the local starlets both have their sights set on the World Finals in August so hopefully the world title will be coming back to Oldham.
