There was a triple celebration at the Neville House residential care home in Oldham.

Three dedicated Neville House employees were recognised for their unstinting service at the the Neville Street home.

Gill Chadwick - who has worked at Neville House for 13 years - received a huge cake as fellow staff and residents organised a surprise party for her 75th birthday.

Kitchen worker Yvonne Swan was presented with a special long service award after spending 10 years at Neville House, while the home's Employee of the Year was Jodie Crocker.

Neville House manager Rachel Mulvey said: "I would like to thank all the staff for the hard work that they do. They all deserve to be recognised.

"Neville House prides itself on training and developing its staff.

"Jodie started working here as an apprentice. She has excelled and now she is a trainee Senior Carer.

"Gill has been an example to us all, not only for her long service, but she is so humble and dedicated to her work and in her own words, she's 'not ready to retire'.

"Yvonne doesn't just cook, she also cares about our service users.

"Yvonne has excelled well for someone who thought she was just going to cook and go home.

"Little did she know that it was not only that, but a journey.

"There have been many challenges, as we have many service users with diagnosis of dementia, but she has supported them with nutritional diets through training.

"Happy long service to Yvonne."
