The legendary Sid James is featured in 'Wot Sid Did'
Fans of the legendary ‘Carry On’ films are in for a real comic treat at the Oldham Library, Greaves Street, on Friday, April 6.
Before the play– which starts at 7.45pm - fans are invited to a wonderful free pre-show – ‘Ooh Matron! A History of the Carry On Films’.
Join Steve Dimmer as he discusses the rise and fall of the beloved films, looking at the lives of some of the main players as well as showing clips from some of the most successful.
The main event on the night will be a superb Next Page Productions presentation – namely "Wot Sid Did".
“Wot Sid Did” is a funny and poignant play about one of Britain’s most loved comic actors, one which sees Sid James in his stage dressing room in the hour before his last performance.
Sid’s in a pensive mood as he looks back on his career, his life and his lost love, iconic co-star Barbara Windsor.
