Eight Isaan Gym boxers attended the iconic Sandee Open tournament at the Barnsley Metrodome, and they all shone for Oldham once again.

This is an annual event and the toughest competition in the UK, with juniors fighting up to three times in one day to win their category.

Isaan walked away with seven wins and one loss, so now boast British Sandee Open champions.

The full Isaan contingent were Jac, aged 14 from Chadderton, Mikie, aged 11 from Derker, Leo, aged 12 and James, aged 10 from Royton, Danny, aged 17 from Fitton Hill, Harry, aged 14 from Grotton, Freya, aged 15 from Failsworth and Caelen, aged 12 from Derker.

Isaan head coach Ste Donnelly said: "Isaan is the most active Muay Thai gym in Oldham, producing quality fighters and our success is growing.

"I’m very proud of all the boxers - they have all done it the hard way.

"And as they say the rest is history.

"Huge thanks to my right hand man Ethan Flight and Alex for your help cornering the fighters and looking after everyone - it's really appreciated.

"Also a big shout to Pete Spensley and his team for another brilliant Sandee Open."
