Oldham-based Isaan Gym fighters were in good nick at the latest Sandee Fight Series promotion
Boxers from the Oldham-based Isaan Gym were in good nick at the latest Sandee Fight Series promotion at the Barnsley Metrodome.
The Isaan contingent contested five fights, winning four and losing one.
They were James Deakin, aged 10 from Royton, Danny Ferris, aged 17 from Fitton Hill, JJ Taylor from Denton, Alex Greenough from Grotton and Brayden Watson from Derker.
The highlight of the day came from James, who had his first international bout against a fighter from Italian.
James put on a brilliant performance. pulling away in rounds 4-5 to win and is now -46kg international champion.
Daniel put on his best performance to date against a dangerous opponent from Belgiam.
Danny had to weather the storm for the first few rounds, but turned the tide in rounds 4-5 to take the win and is now 70kg European champion
Eighteen-year-old Brayden put on a masterclass against a tough opponent from Belgium in his third pro am European title fight.
He won via unanimous decision to take the 68kg European title.
Isaan head coach Ste Donnelly said: "Win, lose or draw I was very proud of my boxers.
"But Brayden was sensational on Saturday.
"It’s the best I’ve seen him.
"He’s doing all the things we practice in the gymnasium, which is great to see,
"We are doing something right at Isaan in Oldham.
"It’s no fluke we have a continuous production line of producing quality Muay Thai boxers."
Promotor Pete Spensley said: "This was our best show to date and we are only just getting started."
