Four exciting young prospects from Max Force Muay Thai in Lees did Oldham proud at the recent WMO European Muay Thai Championships in Limassol, Cyprus.

The four Max Force students returned home with two gold and two silver medals after representing Team England.

Tyler Taylor is the 8-10yrs cadet - 38kg European gold medalist, while Jacob Cartwright is the 12-14yrs cadet  - 63.5kg European gold medalist.

Theo Shaw is now a silver medalist 12-14yrs cadet - 41kg student, while Cameron Wakefield is now a silver medalist 17-18th youth - 60kg student.

Bradley Tunnacliffe and his wife Shaunna Pratt Tunnacliffe own Max Force Muay Thai.

Bradley said: "All four lads represented themselves and there club with the upmost respect and they did themselves and everyone so proud.

"Me and Shaunna couldn't be any prouder of the lads.

"They have all trained so hard for this tournament and it's paid off for them all.

"They were all training minimum three times per week and then doing there own extra training on top of class and keeping on top of there weight making sure they was on target.

"This was an amazing experience for all the lads who have never fought in an overseas competition before and these memories will last a lifetime.

"We would like to thank everyone who helped fundraise for these lads to get them over there as its all self funded.

"They all came together and did quiz nights, fun days and a sky dive just to name a few things and because of everyone donating or sponsoring these lads we managed to get them over there fully paid so thankyou very much everyone for that.

"All four lads are a credit to our club and we can't wait to see what the future holds for them."

Team England eventually came away with five golds, four silvers and one bronze.

Ten out of the 12 fighters had podium finishes - a massive feat.
