Chadderton Football Club's under-15s squad show off their new strip
Chadderton Football Club's under-15s squad have kicked-off the New Year in style, welcoming new kit sponsorship from local firm Caddick Construction.
The team of 18 boys currently play in the North Bury Junior Football League, and will complete the current season in their brand new kits.
The £1,000 sponsorship from Caddick supplies all team members with reversible home and away kits, which coaches, Ric Cartwright and Carl Turner, say would not be possible without Caddick’s support.
Co-manager Carl said: “I would like to reiterate our absolute gratitude to Caddick for very kindly agreeing to sponsor our new kit.
"The cost of a new kit is something that many grassroots teams really struggle with, and often have to rely on hand-me-downs, or searching endlessly trying to find sponsorship.
"We have had our existing kit for almost two and a half years, so this new, marvellous looking kit is a really welcome addition for us.
“Keeping youngsters involved in grassroots football can be quite difficult, especially as they enter their teenage years.
"On top of this, the costs of being involved are hard for some, with sign on fees, monthly subs and having to buy new boots and equipment.
"Being provided with a new kit, as Caddick has done here for us, makes a huge difference and I know that the lads have been absolutely buzzing, waiting for the new kit to arrive.”
Caddick’s sponsorship of Chadderton Football Club forms part of its work in Oldham, which includes building work to create 88 new affordable homes at West Vale on behalf of First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO).
Once complete, the contemporary, sustainable mixed housing project at the top of Manchester Street will help local people get onto the housing ladder.
Paul Dodsworth, Managing Director at Caddick Construction Group, said: “As a family business, giving back to the community is really important to us here at Caddick, especially being able to support clubs like Chadderton FC, which has been at the heart of the community for almost 80 years.
"We’re pleased to see the team in their new kits, and wish them the very best of luck as they continue their North Bury League campaign in 2024.”
