Tony gets ready to celebrate at the 19th hole
Tony Costello has been a member of his beloved Crompton and Royton GC for 35 years and now plays off a very respectable handicap of 6.7.
Over the years he has notched three holes-in-one - two on the 15-yard fourth hole and another at Castle Hawk GC.
Now he has taken his total up to four with an easy five wood from the tee on the 168-yard sixth hole setting up plenty of celebrations at the 19th hole at C and R.
Tony said: “I got into golf at C and R at the age of 11 as a caddy for members.
“I had always thought that when I was old enough and had enough money I would join the club.
“But being the elder of five children my mum and dad could not afford it so I had to wait until my mid-20’s before I was able to follow my dream.
"I have enjoyed my membership ever since and I am now looking to make my fifth ace!”
