The Year 9 team from Oldham Academy North show off their silverware
The Year 9 team from Oldham Academy North won the Oldham Football Plate competition.
The OAN team beat Royton and Crompton 5-3.
William Armstrong, Head of PE and Child Development at the Oldham Academy North, said: "Although this might not necessarily sound like a huge deal, the team played the last three games in the tournament, including the final, while fasting.
"Both the referee and event organiser (Ste Dean from Crompton House school) were blown away by the boys' attitudes and resilience while playing in the sun and not having food or drink since 4am that morning."
