Medals galore as Kenny Karate kids shine in Italy

Oldham youngsters from the Kenny Karate Club returned from the 12th WUKF European Championships in Florence, Italy, with a clutch of medals.
Kenny Karate is a small local club based in Lees and Greenacres.
This was their first trip to the European Championships following the Covid pandemic.
More than 20 countries were represented by over 1,800 competeters at the tournament.
Eleven children from Kenny Karate competed. They were Thomas Mooney, Layla Mooney, Rosy Whittle, Erin Joyce, Owen Joyce, Farrah Connor, Evva Maclennan, Lilly Polwin, Catherine Russell, Alex Wheeler and Luke Stainthorpe.
They were supported by Sensei Ashleigh Kenny-Roberts and Sensei Denis Kenny.
Kenny Karate sessions take place at Greenacres Church on Tuesdays between 6.30pm-7.30pm and Hey With Zion in Lees on Thursdays between 6.30pm- 7.30pm.
