Oldham's 16-year-old WBC European champion Tommy Lowe is now a WBC Youth Games champion.
Isaan Gym star Tommy flew out to Canada on August 10 to compete as part of Team England at the WBC Youth Games showpiece.
Tommy, from Waterhead, had two fights while in Canada, firstly winning his semi-final against an opponent from the USA.
Tommy then put on a master class performance to beat a very strong opponent from Australia to win the gold medal in the final.
Tommy, who said he was very happy with the result and winning a gold medal, now hopes to go the Venice Games next year.
Isaan Gym Head Coach Ste Donnelly said: "I'm extremely proud of Tommy as were both nervous.
"Tommy has proved he can travel well and fight as he put on a sublime performance to take the gold medal."
Tommy's next fight is on September 3 at the Wythenshawe Forum, where he will move into the adult ranks.
