A five-star return to the ring for Isaan Gym boxers

Isaan's talented contingent who featured in Barnsley

Five talented young boxers from the locally-based Isaan Muay Thai training centre did the business for Oldham at the weekend.

The lads all competed at the Supershow at the Barnsley Metrodome, and all put in terrific individual performances.

The Isaan boxers who competed on the night were Ben Evans (aged 14), Ethan Flight (16), Tommy Lowe (15), Leo Deakin (eight) and Tyler Scott (11).

This was first time in 15 months that any Isaan fighters had been in the ring, due to the pandemic, and in the end there two wins and three losses, while Tommy Lowe returned home a European champion.

Stephen Donnelly, head coach at the Isaan Gym, said: "The event was first class.

"Pete Spensley and the Supershow team really do pull all the stops out in building a platform for junior Muay Thai."
