Isaan Gym boxers compete at Ashton Masonic Hall

On Saturday the 30th November Isaan Gym boxers Ella Haywood and Normi Hussain fought at Ashton Masonic Hall on GFC Promotion. 

Isaan Gym Walked away with one win and one loss.

15-year old Normi Hussain from Moorside fought Jake Carr from Kearsley Thai.

Both boxers were evenly matched and the fight was a real 50/50 between the pair.

After five hard fought rounds, Jake Carr was awarded the win.

Head Coach Steve Donnelly said, "This was a superb fight, Normi showed massive heart and it’s all about the performance."

14 year-old Ella Heywood from waterhead had her first international fight against Leah from Cyprus.

Steve added, "Ella took charge of the fight and scored well with body kicks and constant pressure.

"It was a close fight, Ella had an excellent round 4 and 5- to take the win. This takes her to eight fights, seven wins and one loss.

"I'm very proud of both boxers, Isaan has had another amazing year, the gym is going from strength to strength and we're looking foward to next year which is set to be superb."
