Belle Vue Speedway launch Manchester Racing

In addition to supporting the Aces and Colts, Manchester Racing will be the brand for the national and international events that continue to be attracted to the state-of-the-art National Speedway Stadium.

Belle Vue CEO Adrian Smith said “We believe this move will help strengthen the identity of speedway as part of Manchester’s growing portfolio of world-class sports.

“Manchester is a city of sporting excellence and a huge global brand. We believe Manchester Racing will allow us to promote the Belle Vue Aces and Colts and open new commercial opportunities.

“I want to make it absolutely clear that we are not changing the names of our teams. These will remain as the Belle Vue Aces and Belle Vue Colts.

“Belle Vue has been a kingpin of the speedway world for over 90 years and it is important that we protect the Belle Vue Aces and Belle Vue Colts names.

“But at the same time, we need to ensure a new and wider audience to speedway know that Manchester is the home of the National Speedway Stadium and where Belle Vue are based.”
