Kashmir ‘A’ were triumphant in their local derby against Oldham ‘A’ in the Oldham and Rochdale League Division One.
Played at the Radclyffe School, Kashmir 'A' won by 12 games to six, but the overall points difference of Kashmir 'A' 341 and Oldham 'A' 310 is less than two points per game.
An evening of hard-fought games led to the best team on the night winning.
The best showing for Kashmir 'A' was Nabeel Rehman, who won all six of his games, and Imran Khan, who won five (four games won together as partners).
Kingsway Phoenix 'B' played Tottington at Kingsway Park High School, Rochdale.
Although the score ended up at six games for Kingsway Phoenix and 12 games for Tottington, there were a lot of very close games that Kingsway Phoenix just could not finish off.
Again the difference in points of 315 to Kingsway Phoenix and 369 to Tottington shows how close a lot of games were, but in the end the most consistent team won.
For Tottington, Karl Greenhaugh won all six of his games and Steve Ingham four.
The best players for Kingsway Phoenix were Min Liow and Philip Turner, who won four games each, two of which were played together.
