With cold weather seemingly set firm and travel to far away places still in doubt, many may wonder will they ever get that warm, summer glow on their body?
However, help is on hand, thanks for two local entrepreneurs, Marcia Jones and Shannon O’Hara, who have finally re-opened the doors to Some Like It Hot, a brand new Beauty and Tanning Salon in Royton.
With covid restrictions delaying opening at the end of last year, Marcia and Shannon used that time to prepare a smart, stylish venue, installing the very latest in sunbed technology and bringing in a range of beauty therapy services, such as aromatherapy massage, facials, make overs and nails.
All is delivered in a large, covid safe venue, by fully trained and experienced staff, having been helped on by the Oldham Enterprise Fund to make their dream a reality.
They also have pamper packages for weddings, birthdays or a special gift and can even offer a wide range of aesthetics through Amy Barrett, a NHS qualified nurse and highly experienced practitioner.
Everyone is welcome and there’s also a separate barber, Alistair Jones, on site, to offer an extra dimension.
Marcia said: “It’s been a long journey to find the right venue and we’ve invested so much last year in creating a stylish venue.
"We boast the most state of the art tanning equipment and beauty treatments available.
"We thought lockdown would never end, but our doors are now open and we are welcoming clients in.”
Shannon added: “It’s been a tough and uncertain year for many people and we’ve all missed out on some of the things that make us feel good about ourselves.
"We’re looking forward to people coming in either for that quick tanning session of a lunchtime, through to a full body pamper for that big occasion or treat.”
Some Like It Hot’s salon on Roman Road, Royton is open for bookings - call 0161 652 8550 or check out the business's Facebook or Instagram pages.
