Louise Minchin will host the Business Awards ceremony in April
BBC broadcast star Louise Minchin has been confirmed as the host of the 2019 Oldham Business Awards presentation and dinner, which will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on Friday, April 26.
Mrs Minchin is a hugely respected and well-known journalist, broadcaster and TV presenter.
She currently presents Breakfast on BBC One, the UK’s most watched morning TV programme, with over six-and-a-half million viewers each day.
She is also a guest presenter on The One Show on BBC One, and You and Yours, the BBC’s consumer programme on BBC Radio 4.
She has also presented programmes on Radio Five Live and BBC Radio Two.
The 2019 Oldham Business Awards were officially launched at the end of October - and the organisers hope to make next year’s presentation event the biggest and best yet.
The nomination process is now under way.
Firms are urged to register their expressions of interest through the official Oldham Business Awards website — www.oldhambusinessawards.co.uk — before the December 21 deadline.
The site allows nominations to be completed online or through a downloaded form.
Organisers will then begin a process of visiting businesses during January and February to help them complete nominations.
Judges will publish a shortlist of finalists in March then the final winners will be unveiled at the awards ceremony at Oldham’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on April 26, 2019.
This year’s 10th annual awards night in May attracted more than 600 guests and was the biggest business dinner in Greater Manchester.
The Oldham Business Awards also raises lots of money for two nominated charities – Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and the Mahdlo Youth Zone.
