Operation AVRO is Greater Manchester Police's force-wide monthly blitz on local crime, which runs in a different district each month.
And yesterday (Tuesday) criminal activities were targeted in Oldham once again.
GMP's website issued real-time updates - including images and video - as activity continued throughout the day.
Most recently, as part of #OPAVRO, the Shaw and Royton Neighbourhood Policing Team were working in partnership with Metrolink staff to conduct a joint operation at Shaw tram stop.
The knife arch was deployed helping officers identify if any passengers were carrying weapons.
Meanwhile, Metrolink staff checked tickets and passes
Remember - anyone can safely and anonymously dispose of knives in the #ForeverAmnesty bins located across Greater Manchester.
Earlier, the Saddleworth and Lees Neighbourhood Policing Team were out across the area, conducting patrols, engaging with our communities and continuing to enforce safer use on our roads.
Officers conducted traffic checkpoints in the area, focusing on the Fatal 4 - speeding, driver under the influence, not wearing a seatbelt and mobile phone use.
Patrols and similar operations continued throughout the day.
The Chadderton Neighbourhood Policing Team were out and about at Broadway in Chadderton, while officers made several arrests after executing early morning warrants throughout Oldham.
