Guests all shared personal stories of strength, struggle and some organisations showcasing the amazing work Oldham has to offer
Spark Oldham's International Men's Day event saw over 100 people attending and over 32 organisations showcasing their work in Oldham to support men.
The event had guest speakers such as football manager Pete Wild, the Oldham Mayor and other passionate speakers from local organisations.
They all shared personal stories of strength, struggle and some organisations showcasing the amazing work Oldham has to offer.
Ryan Lowe's poetic speech around challenging the use of the terminology 'man up' was a powerful piece which many of the people attending have asked for copies of.
Feedback from the day was well organised, excellent, brilliant and a great way to connect with others.
Kim Rogers, founder at Spark Oldham, said: "I was very proud of the event and to see so many organisations working together to support men in Oldham is so vital.
"We are excited to be working with local organisations to set up men's walking groups and to look at developing a men's network.
"When you are part of an event like this, you can really see the difference working together has - together we are stronger and can support one another to achieve more.
"We already are planning next year's event and are so thankful to all our sponsors as this wouldn't have been possible without them."
Gaz and Wayne received the Andy Fowles award for inspirational men in Oldham - they were nominated by members of the community for their outstanding support to others.
