Police probe follows Ashton Road crash in which 83-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries

Greater Manchester Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for information after a woman was seriously injured in Oldham on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
At around 9.05pm, it is believed that a Toyota Prius was travelling northbound on Ashton Road towards Oldham when it collided with an 83-year-old woman who was in the road.
At the time it was believed she had sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
However, she is now in a life-threatening condition.
The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and has assisted with enquiries.
GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell footage, from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
