Homelessness charity Emmaus Mossley is gearing up to host a Magical Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 9 at the charity’s second-hand superstore.

Emmaus Mossley’s festive charity event and sale will include seasonal food, drinks, music and a visit from Santa.

The event aims to promote the magic of Christmas, bringing people together to share some seasonal joy whilst raising vital funds to help people affected by homelessness.

Emmaus Mossley supports people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home, companionship, tailored support and work opportunities.

People supported by the charity and Emmaus volunteers are looking forward to welcoming supporters, local residents and festive fanatics to their upcoming event.

Gassy, one of 26 residents supported by Emmaus Mossley, said: “Roll up, roll up all Emmaus fans, families and friends… get in the Christmas spirit, save the planet and save money at our Magical Christmas Bazaar.”

The Magical Christmas Bazaar event will mark the launch of the charity’s festive range with items spread throughout the second-hand superstore.

The sale will include a wide range of decorations, secret Santa gifts, presents for under a fiver, vintage and retro goods, unusual gifts, reusable trees, lights, festive linen and affordable furniture for those extra guests.

Hazel Hodkinson, Retail Manager at Emmaus Mossley, said: “We’re really looking forward to our Magical Christmas Bazaar and showcasing the amazing range of festive items we’ve been saving up throughout the year.

"If you’re on a limited budget, are planning to shop more sustainably or just want your purchases to support a good cause this Christmas, Emmaus Mossley is the place to come!”

Emmaus Mossley’s Magical Christmas Bazaar will take place on Saturday, November 9, between 10am-4pm, at the Emmaus Mossley second-hand superstore, Longlands Mill, Queen Street, Mossley, OL5 9AH.

Festive food, cakes and drinks will be available from Lucie’s Café throughout the event.

All income raised from the sale of donated items is used by the charity to sustain their 26-bedroom community and the support given to people who live there.
