Local favourites Jeramiah Ferrari are coming to Mossley later this month.
The Manchester fusion four-piece, who produce a mix of reggae, rock, ska and pop and who grew up on a diet of Bob Marley, The Police and Michael Jackson, headline at The Vale on Saturday, October 12.
Seasoned festival stage performers, the group, which formed back in 2010, has forged a superb reputation for live sets, which fuse reggae, rock, ska and pop.
Previous tours include sharing the stage with the likes of Bob Marley's infamous backing band The Wailers, Madness, UB40, Level 42, Steel Pulse and The Selector.
Lead singer Ryan has also enjoyed more than 15 minutes of solo fame.
During the Covid lockdowns, his light-hearted, reggae-inspired song Fish Finger Butty, which featured his then baby son Sunny, went viral.
Raising funds for the NHS, the track racked up over 450,000 views and reached number 35 in the iTunes charts.
And in November 2023, Ryan joined team Anne-Marie on ITV’s The Voice, when the judge turned within seconds of him beginning a unique rendition of the Grover Washington Jr and Bill Withers classic Just the Two of Us.
Jeramiah Ferrari is Ryan Paul Mario Barton (lead vocals/guitar), Chris Sykes (lead guitar), Hanson Pollitt (bass/vocals) and Paddy Monaghan (drums/percussion).
The band, which has released four albums and two EPs, was called ‘a unique force and a live sensation that never disappoints’ by The Mancunion newspaper.
Support comes from 20-year-old singer-songwriter Naomi Kalu (above).
Making music since the age of 14, Naomi is inspired by artists including Tracy Chapman and Frank Ocean.
Born and bred in Oldham, Naomi is also an international boxing champion and a regular at Oldham Boxing and Personal Development Centre.
In a first for the venue, which is at Vale Mill, off Micklehurst Road, a limited number of tickets will be available on a donate what you can afford basis.
