A grief-stricken family have paid an emotional tribute to a ‘loving mother’ who was a ‘great friend to many’.
Joan Glue, who had just turned 72 and was from Dukinfield, sadly passed away days after a serious road traffic collision that occurred on Stamford Road in Mossley, on Wednesday, September 18.
Describing Joan, her family said; “She was a loving mother and grandmother.
"She enjoyed socialising with her friends at Beatrix House, usually playing bingo and watching films on movie afternoons.
“She also liked going out for meals and shopping.
"She was so proud of her family and loved showing her grandchildren off to everyone she met.
"She was an avid fan of the soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street, never missing an episode and was a great friend to many, as well as being a much loved member of the Glue family.”
