Police issue witness appeal after minibus passenger suffers serious injuries in road collision

Police officers are appealing for information following a collision in Mossley last week.

At around 1.10pm on Wednesday, September 18, officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision between two vehicles on Stamford Road in Mossley.

It is believed that a Ford Transit minibus collided with the back of a Kia Soul who was stationary.

A passenger in the minibus became unseated and sustained serious injuries.

The victim – a woman in her 70s – remains in hospital in a serious condition.

GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell footage, from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
