Fullcircle NW CIC, a local community interest company, is celebrating after receiving funding from the National Lottery funding to support its youth offer.

The funding will enable Fullcircle to expand its reach and provide even more opportunities for young people in Chadderton South.

Founded in 2011, Fullcircle has been a vital resource for young people in Oldham, offering a variety of activities including holiday clubs, sports sessions, and youth clubs.

The organisation's mission is to help young people develop essential life skills, build confidence, and create lasting friendships.

"We are thrilled to receive this funding from the National Lottery Community Fund," said Becci Drake, Fullcircle Director.

"This will allow us to continue our work and reach even more young people who need our support."

Dawn Fox, Fullcircle Director, added: “I'm so excited about this funding.

"It means we can offer even more opportunities for young people in Chadderton South to have fun, learn, and grow.

"I can't wait to see the positive impact it will have on the community.”

One young person who has benefited from Fullcircle's program's is Toni, who said: "Fullcircle has helped me make new friends, try new foods and visit new places.

"I have learnt how to become a better person and will be forever grateful for the team’s impact on my life.”

Councilor for Chadderton South, Cllr Graham Shuttleworth, said: “Fullcircle took up the challenge of providing a junior youth club in Chadderton in 2012 when austerity started to bite, and they have gone from strength-to-strength ever since.

"Many have passed through the doors of the club, no doubt appreciative of what was available to them at that time.

"Their recent success in achieving this funding is testimony to their commitment to young people in Chadderton and secures the youth provision for the next three years, which can only be very good news for existing members and those who will follow in their footsteps.

"Congratulations go to the whole Fullcircle team in what they’ve achieved so far for young people in Chadderton and beyond.”

Thanks to the generous support of National Lottery players, Fullcircle can now expand its programs and reach even more young people in the community.

The National Lottery Community Fund recently launched its strategy, ‘It starts with community’, which will underpin its efforts to distribute at least £4 billion of National Lottery funding by 2030.

As part of this, the funder has four key missions, which are to support communities to come together, be environmentally sustainable, help children and young people thrive and enable people to live healthier lives.

National Lottery players raise over £30 million a week for good causes across the UK.

Thanks to them, last year (2023/24) The National Lottery Community Fund awarded over half a billion pounds (£686.3 million) of life-changing funding to communities across the UK, supporting over 13,700 projects to turn their great ideas into reality.
