A dedicated walking group has been praised for Trojan fundraising efforts for Holme Valley and Oldham Mountain Rescue Teams.
The unique Marsden Walkers help publish easy-to-follow trail guides for circular walks around the area and lead regular group walks, helping to ensure footpaths are maintained and accessible.
They say sometimes people can get into difficulties when they're out enjoying the moors and, like any activity, there's always a chance of an accident, an injury or a health problem.
So they teamed up with Holme Valley and Oldham Mountain Rescue teams to raise funds jointly for both voluntary organisations.
And on Saturday (August 31), members of the groups left Hebden Bridge and walked 18 miles back over the moors to Marsden.
Both organisations are run by volunteers and rely on sponsorship and contributions to keep running.
And sponsorship will help to keep people walking; confidently, enjoyably and safely.
There’s still an opportunity to donate via the JustGiving page link here
