A dedicated team of school fundraisers are celebrating their most successful year.

And the Friends of Díggle School say since the current committee formed in 2017 they have surpassed the £100,000 mark.

Tracy Buckley, FODS chairman, said: "We are thrilled to have had our biggest fundraising year yet and not only that, since our current committee formed back in 2017 we have surpassed the £100,000 mark!

“We have had some big fundraisers this year with our scarecrow and spooky trail and our summer carnival, as well as the usual fun events for the children.

“Not only that, but we have been able to pay for some amazing experiences for the school this year, including a full school day out to Chester Zoo, a KAPLA building day for the children, an amazing science week with a planetarium, experiments and scientists, books, forest school and outdoor play equipment.

“I couldn't be more proud of our wonderful FODS team who give countless hours of their time free to provide these experiences for the children.”

And she added: “We are looking forward to another amazing year of fundraising next year - we already have some fun things booked in.”
